Usually played by girls, Zero Point was another schoolyard classic. At least three players are needed – one to jump across the rope (made of rubber bands strung together) and two to hold the rope on either ends.
The game starts with the rope being held at the lowest level (at the ankle) and progresses in difficulty to the highest level (at the head). At levels below the waist, players get eliminated if any part of their body touches the rope as they cross it. At levels above the waist, players are allowed contact with the rope as long as they don’t use their hands – requiring plenty of fanciful manoeuvring and high jumps! The last player left after all the rest gets eliminated, wins.
