Kuti means flip in Malay. Kuti Kuti is an old game played between two players using colourful plastic tokens. These tokens are generally about the size of a fifty cents coin and they usually take the shape of an animal or insect.
The gameplay is very simple. To win, a player has to skillfully flip his/her token on top of the opponent’s. The winner gets to keep the opponent’s token. The loser replenishes his/her tokens at the neighbourhood Mama shop (convenience store owned by an Indian uncle or elder).
