Five Stones is a traditional children’s game played all over the world. It goes by many different names and rules vary from country to country. In Singapore, the ‘stones’ are usually made from leftover cloth sewn into pyramid shapes. Rice grains, beans and Saga seeds are commonly used as fillings.
Five stones can be played by two or more players. The objective of the game is to score as many points as possible. To score a point, a player has to complete a number of steps (usually 8). The difficulty in executing the steps increases progressively.
